Long hibachi were traditional furniture used in Japanese living rooms for warmth from the Edo to early Showa periods. They were central to family life, used for heating, boiling water, and placing items like tobacco trays around the charcoal fire.

This item is a horizontal Edo-style long hibachi with a practical design featuring a total of 5 drawers: 3 on the right side and 2 at the bottom.
The board on the upper right front is designed to simply rest in place (please refer to the 17th photo).
The ash was removed and photographed for this listing.
The part where charcoal is placed is copper-lined, has no holes, and is usable (there is some verdigris).
The surface has also been wiped with a well-wrung cloth for this listing.

The wood features the beautiful grain characteristic of Keyaki, giving it the authentic texture of antique furniture.
How about using it for a traditional Japanese house interior, Japanese-style room furniture, or shop display?
